Building transformative resilience
The feeling of control over the future and the ability to choose in one’s own life depend a lot on the skills that can be mobilized. School education and capacity building are therefore essential vectors for building resilience. On the one hand, it is a question of better equipping the young generations for a life beyond the daily problems linked to crises. Capacity development also makes it possible to create places of exchange and interaction, both on the alternatives to adapt to new situations or seek a way out of the crisis. These can be peacebuilding opportunities to actively address cultures of violence. Finally, the reinforcement of skills allows an improvement of the locus of control and therefore of visualization and creation of alternatives.
